The ADM Office of School Improvement has many functions in the development, implementation and monitoring of curriculum, instruction and assessment. These include
- Providing teachers support, resources and professional development related to the development of curriculum and student assesssments
- Designing professional development to support teachers in implementing best instructional practices in their classrooms
- Implementing the district's assessment plan for standardized tests (ITBS and ITED)
- Working with staff, administration, school board and other stakeholders in analyzing student achievement data and other district data in order to set achievement goals
- Reporting district achievement data to the Iowa Department of Education
