ADM French Trip 2014 Blog
To the Academic Decathlon team on a great performance at state. ADM placed second, just missing Hawaii.
ADM's vocal jazz group, Amp, was accepted to participate in the Iowa Vocal Jazz Championships at Ballard High School on April 1st. Schools from around the state submit video recordings to be judged for acceptance, and only a select number of schools are asked to participate in the competition. We now have the chance to compete against the other selected schools for top jazz choir in the state. ADM has never had a jazz choir make championships, and we are very excited to represent ADM in April. Amp members include: Erica Paige, Bryce Lord, Amanda Seiler, Kyle Hovey, Alex Hall, Chelsea May, Madalyn Walker, Devon Lord, Jonathan Norris, LewElla Riker, Hannah Button, and Kolby Whisner. Rhythm section: Heidi Schneider, Zach Oneal and Hunter Mandernach. Congratulations!
To the wrestlers who competed in the state tournament finishing 19th as a team. All three wrestlers earned the right to stand on the podium, receiving a medal. Outstanding individual achievements were: Trevor Harsh earning 7th place; Nathan Heath earning 8th place; and Zach Johnston competing in the finals, earning 2nd place. Each wrestler showed great heart and represented ADM with class. Great job guys, "way to knock the gravy off their biscuits!" - your proud coach, Coach Schmauss
To the Large Group Speech Reader's Theatre team for their All-State participation in Ames Sat. Feb. 22. They were one of 12 groups across the state to earn this distinction from the original 300+ teams to start. Congratulations for all their hard work!!
