Welcome to the 6-8 Middle School

Dear Middle School Parents and Students:

We welcome you to our website to catch a little glimpse of our school district.

We are very proud of our school and the education that our students receive.  6-8 Middle School students not only get a great education, but they also are given the goals needed to be prepared for life through their wonderful learning experiences here.

The teachers and students continue to work hard and perform at high levels.  Our 2012-2013 staff professional development is focused on infusing technology in the classroom.  We are excited to challenge students with a more rigorous math curriculum, utilize new science materials and texts, and study real world writing by implementing a newly developed writer’s workshop approach.  All of this will be done using updated technology and equipment.

Our staff focus is “Relationships, Relationships, Relationships”.  We feel that if we are connected together and are always striving to build positive relationships with our students and parents, everyone will succeed!

We are looking forward to a productive and successful year at ADM 6-8 Middle School.  There are many new and exciting things on the horizon, all being initiated with one goal in mind – Student Success!

Sincerely,

Kim Timmerman, Principal

8th Grade Science

The 8th grade science classes recently studied the topic of cells.  One of the culminating projects was to create a web page answering questions about cancer cells, DNA replication and environmental causes.  The following are links to some of those pages.
